PowerPoint, public speaking

Let’s make a PowerPoint – Oh no!

“Let’s Make a Powerpoint”
At University, students get the opportunity to practice their presentation skills. I’ve been a part of these groups. The Professor announces, “Next week, each group will present their proposals”. And without fail, one of the team members will immediately turn to the rest of the group and say, “Great, let’s make our Powerpoint!”

What’s wrong with it is, the assumption that it has to be PowerPoint. Often it does, but not always… it’s about using your imagination before you use the machine!

and then use the need for clean simplicity that we must use for the machine to produce clean simplicity in our presentations – win/win!! 🙂
